Recapping the past six months at Shimla Hills – from June to November 2024.
Hello Readers,
As 2025 is approaching fast, we want to halt and take a look back at some of the memorable moments from the past six months of our journey so far. In the past few months, we not only celebrated festivals and happy moments together but also drew in amazing business deals. This makes this period quite remarkable for us.
From celebrating milestones and preparing new seasonal offerings to attending domestic & international food exhibitions, let’s rewind what shaped our journey this year.
While keeping up with our regular tasks, and meetings, and achieving new milestones, our HR team organised a special Stress Management session for us on International Yoga Day. This rejuvenating session on June 21 was led by the Brahma Kumaris.
This stress management session helped us realise what small practices to inculcate in our routine to maintain a healthy balance between work and personal life. After the session, we all felt relaxed and inspired by their positive teachings on stress relief and meditation.
During August, we welcomed the arrival of papaya and guava season. With the good harvest of both fruits, we offered premium red and yellow papaya pulp/puree, alongside pink and white varieties of processed guava puree/pulp, puree concentrate, and frozen juice concentrate.
Our processed guava and papaya products are versatile and used for the preparation of various culinary creations – from candies, desserts, jellies, and jams to rejuvenating beverages. At Shimla Hills, we deliver excellence with our premium natural food offerings. The experts from our production facility pay close attention to each step of processing to ensure the highest safety and quality of each product. This commitment to offering the best quality products to the customers makes us stand out in the industry.
On August 15, the Shimla Hills family celebrated the colours of India with pride and fervour. We all dressed up in ethnic attire, donning colours from our national flag – i.e. saffron (or orange), white, and green.
Furthermore, we adorned our office with tricolour decorations that symbolised patriotic moments. Uniting to honour the strength of our nation, we sang National Anthem and savoured some sweets and snacks in the evening while dancing to some patriotic songs.
Jai Hind!
At World Food India 2024 from September 19-22 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, our experts exhibited our premium range of products – fruit pulps/purees, juice concentrates, canned, and IQF products. Some team members from our Sales, NPD, and other departments also presented our product range at World Food Moscow 2024 from September 17-20 at Crocus Expo, Moscow in Russia.
Both these global platforms offered us great opportunities to connect with industry leaders, culinary enthusiasts, and potential customers. Hence, we forged strong partnerships to help various F&B (food and beverage) manufacturers create magic with our superior quality offerings.
From October 19–23, our experts represented Shimla Hills’ premium natural food offerings at SIAL Paris 2024. During the food expo, we showcased our superior quality Indian-origin processed products.
At SIAL Paris, we again got great business opportunities while delivering a taste of excellence worldwide. We are glad to have joined hands with us as top industry leaders for a successful business.
After attending these prestigious domestic and international food exhibitions, we gathered for the Annual Diwali Celebrations 2024 in October. This get-together was a mix of joy, gratitude, and a sense of togetherness as a team.
From expressing our gratitude to our esteemed MD to dancing our hearts out on pulsating music, the evening was a memorable celebration for the Shimla Hills family. We wish to have more such glowing and lively celebrations of success and togetherness in the future as well.
As we are gearing up for 2025, we strive to upgrade our processing techniques. We further aim to make our IQF portfolio stronger with our offerings, such as pineapple, sweet corn, corn kernels, and corn riblets. With our premium processed fruit/food offerings, we want to meet the evolving requirements of our global clientele.
In addition, we strive to focus on including some new offerings in our product range. While continuing with our signature mango, papaya, banana, and guava products, we will be exploring new horizons with Indian-origin orange and apple products.
Stay tuned for more exciting updates as we head to another fruitful year.
Warm regards,
Team Shimla Hills
